The European Commission chooses TrustNest R-Cloud and the Wimi Restricted suite

Thales announced on July 2, 2026 the European Commission's decision to secure collaboration on European Defence Fundprograms. The chosen solution is the TrustNest R-Cloudplatform, which integrates the Wimi Restricted suite designed by Wimi.
This decision places Thales and Wimi in a leading position in Europe for secure and sovereign digital collaboration.
TrustNest R-Cloud is the secure hosting platform operated by Thales. It is accredited for processing EU Restrictedinformation, the European Union classification level equivalent to the Restricted Distribution French.
The Wimi Restricted suite is integrated into this platform. It provides collaborative features: document sharing and co-editing, communications, and management ofshared workspaces.
The European Commission has launched this initiative as a one-year pilot project for European Defence Fund programs.
Until now, working with classified data required the use of cumbersome secure tools that were not well-suited to the agility of modern digital collaboration. Teams had to choose between the required level of security and daily operational efficiency.
Wimi Restricted, integrated into the Thales TrustNest R-Cloud infrastructure, represents a major breakthrough for the efficiency of collaboration between defense program stakeholders.
Participants in the programs of the European Defence Fund are spread across several countries and organizations. The platform provides them with a common space compliant with classification requirements, without reverting to the siloed tools of previous generations.
This announcement confirms the relevance of Wimi's dual strategy , which covers both critical civil sectors and defense applications. This strategy is based on two distinct recognitions.
The SecNumCloud 3.2 qualification, issued by ANSSI, covers sensitive civil sectors. TheRestricted Distribution approval covers classified projects in the defense sector.
Wimi is also labeled French Tech 2030 and France 2030.
