Who can create a community in my organization?

You define the creation rules according to your governance:

Option 1 - Free creation: All users can create communities to encourage initiative and engagement.

Option 2 - Controlled creation: Only designated administrators or moderators can create communities to maintain an organized structure.

In any case, you remain in control:

  • Rights management (administrator, moderator, member)
  • Configurable visibility (public or private)
  • Content moderation
  • Possibility to deactivate or archive a community

How to moderate content and avoid excesses?

Wimi Communities integrates several levels of control to guarantee professional and constructive exchanges.

You can assign different roles according to responsibilities: the administrators have total control over the fellowship (settings, members, deletion), moderators can delete inappropriate posts or comments, and members participate according to defined rules.

Les moderation tools allow you to remove unwanted content, remove members if necessary, or temporarily deactivate a community. A complete history of moderation actions ensures traceability.

Good practice: Define a clear usage policy from the start and designate moderators in each strategic community.

Can private and confidential communities be created?

Yes, you have total control over the visibility of each community according to your needs.

Public communities are visible to everyone in your organization and allow everyone to join freely. They are perfect for general announcements, corporate events, or cross-cutting topics that concern everyone.

Private communities are only visible to invited members and work by invitation only. This format is ideal for confidential projects, small committees, or business groups dealing with sensitive topics.

You can change the visibility of a community at any time. Whichever option you choose, your data remains hosted in France and compartmentalized according to the permissions you have defined.

Are employees going to waste time on the social network?
